Description of Goldie Whistle

Goldie Whistles need no introduction to many, as they are highly acclaimed and sought after by both professional and amateur musician alike. They are constructed from aluminum alloy and available in both tunable and non-tunable varieties in keys ranging from Bass G to Soprano ( "High" ) F. Many use the term "cosmic drain-pipe" to describe the sound of the Goldie low whistle range. Other terms like "buttery" and "silky-smooth" might be used as well. The higher whistles are bright with good volume.

"To those who are not familiar with me, I have been making whistles for over 18 years. My instruments are made from an aluminium alloy and are based on the Original Low Whistle Design, by Bernard Overton. From 1993 until August 2009, I marked the instruments I made 'Overton'. Since then I have used my own name, so they now are marked 'Goldie'. The Goldies offer a range of whistles from high E (Soprano), all the way down to Low G (Bass Baritone), including all flats and sharps, as well as special-fingering models."
