Terms and conditions of sale
Making a contract with us:
We can only accept payment in pounds sterling.When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods.
We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.
You will not receive an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.
If the goods are not available, we may supply you with substitute goods.
If you decide not to accept the substitute goods, you will not have to pay to return them to us.
No contract will exist between you and Scayles Music for the sale of any product unless and until Scayles Music accepts your order by issuing a confirmation email stating that we have shipped your product.
At this point acceptance will be deemed complete, and will be deemed for all purposes to have been effectively communicated to you at the time Scayles Music sends the email to you (whether or not this email is received).
For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom and any such contract will be interpreted and uphel in all respects in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
Delivery:
Delivery prices displayed on this site only apply to the United Kingdom main land, if you are outside of this area please Click Here to contact us for more information on how we can deliver to you and any further cost it may incur.
We offer various delivery charges depending on the size and weight of the goods involved, these will be displayed at time of purchase.
We also offer free delivery on most purchases over £200, but please note that very large or heavy items are exempt from this.
If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly. Some items that are the last in stock may not have their original boxes and will have been displayed in the shop for customers to try. They will still be packaged with care and this will not affect your statutory rights.
Orders to an alternative delivery address can be processed if the customer has been authenticated using 3D authentication (i.e. Verified by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro).
Scalyles Music reserves the right to deliver only to the cardholder's billing address.
Orders made by American Express, DINERS or JCB can only be delivered to the Customer's billing address, no exceptions will be made.
We make several security checks to protect ourselves against fraud, we therefore reserve the right to refuse to deliver to this address should we not be able to verify it
We will contact you in the event that we have to change your preferred delivery address where you will be given the option of a refund or delivery to your billing address.
Cancellation and returns:
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after delivery.
To do this, please e-mail or write to us.
You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.
Refunds will only be given minus the original shipping cost to us, unless the item is faulty, in which case we will refund the full amount paid. If the item was offered with free shipping at point of sale, a charge will still be issued to cover the original shipping cost.
You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.
Whatever method you use to return the product, please ensure that the item is packed to at least the same standard you received it in.
Scayles Music are not responsible for any damage in transit if you use your own courier or if the item is insufficiently packed.
Please note we cannot collect from addresses outside the United Kingdom.
If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection.
If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
Please note that certain items (harmonicas, mouth-pieces, etc.) are ineligible for cancellation and return unless unused or faulty.
We cannot accept your purchase back if:
